Sweet William in the Weeds. The yard is a riot of colors and textures in the spring, before the summer envelopes us in green. The combination of dianthus, violets, vetch, and black medic is untidy and glorious!
Kingfishers (Light). Seeing a kingfisher is always thrilling to me. This pattern developed from a commissioned geometric barn quilt for a friend whose cabin overlooks a creek, with kingfishers darting across the backyard clearing.
Satsuma Squirrel Wreath. Satsumas, squirrels, and acorns are a celebration of North Florida winter, but is bright and sweet enough for any season, anywhere.
A collection of sweet vignettes from our own garden. Sunflowers, birdhouse gourds, bird houses and bird feeders, wind chimes, and potted spider plants.
Leona: This Art Nouveau-esque pattern is inspired by the colorful abdomen of the golden orb-weaver, or banana spider. This impressive spider is a common sight in late summer in Tallahassee, and her micaculous web is spun from gleaming gold spider silk.
